Gourmet blue mould cheese made in the Auvergne region, France. Most often it has cylindrical shape, soft texture, mild taste, with fruit and mushroom overtones, 50% fat. The rich flora of the Auvergne region, the warm summers, gives this cheese an excellent, earthy flavour and aroma.

The name of Forme d'Ambert comes from the Latin word "form". It began to be marketed in the village of Ambert, from which the name of this cheese was derived. According to the legend, the Arverne tribe used it during the Battle of Gergovia in the year 52 BC. In the 9th century was built the Chaulme's chapel, on it's stonewall we can see seven charms of the rented rentals that claim that mercenaries were required to give their tribute each year: butter, sausage, ham, eggs, hay, grains and cheese Forme d'Ambert.
